Traditional skills
For centuries, Franche Comté has been famed for its agricultural, culinary and textile skills. These skills were passed down from generation to generation and today allow us to enjoy high-quality products such as yellow wine and other Jura wines, Comté and other cheeses, Morteau sausages and other smoked pork meats from the Haut-Doubs area, all of which are appreciated around the world. This explains the region’s attachment to its skills and expertise acquired through centuries of work and experimentation. Some people are even working to rediscover skills that have been lost over the course of time.
Discover the secret of the Juraflore cellars and come and experience extraordinary sensations at the Fort des Rousses.
Throughout his entire life, Marcel Yerly worked on 100 scaled-down wooden models, entirely hand-made.
Cars, agricultural machines, locomotives, boat, motorbikes, planes : all the models, from 50 cm up to 3 meters, are fully functional.
Visit the open-air museum of the comtoises houses situated 15km from Besançon and discover Franche Comté in a 15 hectare park.
30 comtois buildings, among them a “tuyé” farm, gardens, orchards and vegetable gardens, animals…an ideal place for a week-end or a family trip.
The park has activities. workshops, courses and exhibitions for children and adults.
